Why Love Letters?
How many relationships have been forged, romances sparked and unforgettable memories created thanks to travelling around Europe?
With Love Letters, KAYAK is providing a stage for everyone in Europe, no matter which country they're from, to showcase their personal travel stories in the hope of bringing us all a little closer. Our goal is to collect thousands of Love Letters - so please, join us and help spread the love for your fellow Europeans.

Why did KAYAK create Love Letters?
Lately, it feels like Europe is moving apart. As a company committed to bringing people together through travel, KAYAK believes that all Europeans, no matter which country they're from, must move forwards together. Travel exposes us to new cultures, people and beliefs; creating greater understanding, empathy, and long-term bonds. Travel is the catalyst that brings people together: allowing us to share ideas, cultures, and of course, ourselves.
By asking fellow Europeans to share their love and gratitude for one another via Love Letters, KAYAK wants to highlight the importance of how both travel and the fostering of an open mind are critical, not only on a personal level but collectively for all European societies.
What are your expectations for Love Letters?
We wish to celebrate Europe and everything that makes our continent and relationships with one another so special. Often we take those closest to us for granted and forget about all the incredible moments we've shared together. In the face of so much discord and rancour, we want to highlight the positive energy and feelings we have for one another. We want to generate smiles, and possibly tears, but ultimately, a greater understanding of each other.
Is this only for Europe?
To start with, yes. We're considering expanding this initiative in the future, but for now, we're focusing our efforts on Europe.
What does this have to do with the EU?
Love Letters is not about the European Union, nor about dividing people across their political, national, cultural beliefs or affiliations. This project is about bringing all Europeans a little closer together.
What about Brexit?
The Love Letters project is not political in nature.
While the UK is changing its relationship with the EU, it remains a European country and part of Europe's shared history and future.
